Sunseed Company first opened it's doors to production in 1981.  Beginning simply with a good idea, a small space in a converted cattle barn, an old cement mixer and a few dedicated individuals, Sun Seed has grown into one of the largest companion bird and small animal feed manufacturers in the professional pet trade. 

Located in Northwest Ohio's agricultural community, Sun Seed proudly employs local residents and strives to provide opportunity for professional growth.  Sun Seed works closely with economic development specialists to ensure long term local employment, and also works with area organizations to provide opportunity for workers with special needs. Sun Seed boasts many tenured employees who have been with the company since its earliest days, and who continue to dedicate their time and energy to its continued growth.
